You can ignore all the weapons and whatnot — it’s obvious that the Empire’s rulers are waaaay more badass than anyone in the Federation.
Well, but look at the specs. Empire ships are about 1000x more powerful, faster, and more armored then Federation ships. It’s really no contest. An imperial troop transport could take on 40 Intrepid class ships with not too much effort. It’s just not even funny.
