I’ve used the wristbands before, and surprisingly enough, they work pretty well. It could all be psychosomatic, but hey, whatever works…
I too have tried the wristbands. Well not the $125 ones that they mention in the article, but their much cheaper cousins that you can buy from the drug store. I believe they are called “SeaBands” though they work for motion sickness anywhere. Apparently, or at least according to the doctors I’ve talked to, the whole pressure point thing is actually not nonsense.
I also do the ginger thing. This was suggested by one of my mom’s friends who found it worked for morning sickness as well. 🙂 If you don’t want to take pills, whole foods has some other options. I have ginger chews (basically dried, sugared ginger) and ginger tea. I have tried the ginger gummy bears as well, but I found they didn’t really do anything (though they tasted yummy). Tea wise, I recommend getting one of the ginger/fruit blends as it is a very strong flavor. It’s very spicy tasting! Next time we hang out, remind me to give you a bag to try.
Anyhow, sorry for the long post. Car sickness is something I battled for ages before finding these solutions.
