The consensus seems to be that The League of Extrordinary Gentlemen reeks of its own suckitde. Well, that frees up some time today then.

I liked it.
Oh. Hmm.
It was fun to watch, but had plot holes roughly the size of Texas, and while fun, not fun enough to be worth seeing in the theater.
Plus, it (apparently) departs wildly from the (supposedly) brilliant original.
(I haven’t read the comic – although I intend to – or seen the movie – and I don’t intend to.)
I’m reading it now, and I must say, it is pretty brilliant. Allan Quartermain? Opium addict. Mina? Bitchy, and also, the leader. Plot? Twists and turns, and yet makes sense.
The movie didn’t manage any of that. I’m just sayin’…
Must get TPB. *drools*
Pirates of the Caribbean rocked. Now I feel the need to drive over to Disneyland and sing along to the “yo ho, yo ho”s
Is Allen Quatermain the highlander?
It was fun, but there were so many inconsistencies, that I couldn’t stop laughing… The submarine ran on solar power, yet they had to use gas lamps inside – which would consume all the oxygen…
