How Bush Blew It

How Bush Blew ItNewsweek‘s fascinating and balances look at how government handled the storm. It is five pages, but still nowhere near in-depth, gives a lot of information but tries to avoid placing blame, and is an all-around interesting read, even if it is difficult to know how true it all is.

  1. Bush absolutely blew it! The buck should stop with him. It blows my mind that this President did not even know until Thursday how bad things were. I certainly question his intelligence and leadership. So he doesn’t read newspapers? But are we to believe that he did not sit down and watch ANY TV as all Americans stayed glued from the beinning. I know I did here in Georgia and every one I knew did the same unless they were working but at night they stayed glued to catch up on all he had missed. Also he should have returned to Washington right away as our leader.
Don’t we Americans feel safer when a calamity occurs and our President addresses the nation and lets us know what our government is going to do? It does me. I am seriously worried that if Bush can’t respond any better to Katrina what can we expect from him concernin Iraq. It’s a chilling thought. This President has been so busy since 9-11-2001 trying to build his legacy as a “war-time President.” And now his remarks comparing the Iraq War with WWII. He is seriously worrying me. His ego has gotten so huge
that I believe he has lost touch with al Americans. He has stated he would not make the same mistakes his father made which infuriated me. This Georgie could never compare to his father’s career and especially before the elder Bush became President. If his father had not had the career he did, this Georgie Porgie would have never even made it as far as Governor of Texas. This Georgie has already made so many mistakes that he shouldn’t be ever referring to any of his father’s mistakes. I see no way that Bush could ever possibly in the future be called a great President. He is a cocky little man with a little mind and and illiterate mind.
